Dr. Emily Weier

Meet the friendly staff at Paws, Claws, and Hooves Veterinary Center!

Emily Weier

Dr. Emily Weier was born in Colorado but moved to Richland in elementary school. She was active in the area with 4-H and Pony Club. She is a proud Bomber and graduated from Richland High School in 2005; she went to the University of Idaho and completed her undergraduate courses with a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 3 years before being accepting into Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2012. After graduation she moved back to Richland and worked in small animal medicine before joining the Paws, Claws, and Hooves team in Feb 2017 and was excited to continue to see small animal and exotic patients as well as horses.

Animals have always been the center of Dr. Weier’s life with dogs and cats when she was young and adding more species all the time; she has had various rodents, reptiles, and of course mammals. She and her husband currently share their home with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, a bearded dragon, and a bunch of chickens (all of whom are named and will never be served as dinner).

In her spare time Dr. Weier enjoys spending time with her family in the area, playing with and training her animals, riding dressage, and is an avid baker. She also is a total movie buff and enjoys reading.

She enjoys working with a variety of species and being able to provide her patients with compassionate full service health care.
