Dr. Jennifer Corwin

Meet the friendly staff at Paws, Claws & Hooves!

Jennifer Corwin

Dr. Jennifer Corwin knew from an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She’s always had a deep love for all animals, participating in 4-H and showing horses, goats, the family dog and chickens for six years as a youth, as well as showing American Saddlebred horses on the Open Circuit in high school. She attended Brigham Young University for two years, majoring in zoology with a pre-vet emphasis, and then moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia to marry her high school sweetheart, who was serving in the US Navy. She completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 2000.

In 2001, as her husband finished his Navy service, Dr. Corwin was accepted to the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. They moved to Pullman that summer, driving across the country with two dogs, six cats and a rabbit. She graduated from WSU in 2005, and they stayed on the Palouse for two more years, adding two baby girls to their family.

In 2008, her husband was offered a job at Energy Northwest in Richland, and the Corwin family moved to the Tri-Cities. They have grown to love this area and plan to stay for a long time. Dr. Corwin has four children, and their family enjoys their small hobby farm where they raise Nubian goats, a few horses, a couple llamas and cows and lots of chickens, turkeys and ducks. They also share their home with three cats and an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Dr. Corwin is a leader in their 4-H club, volunteers at the Fair each year, is active in their church and enjoys singing in the choir.
